Any boy or girl between the ages of 14 and 21 can join. You do not have to be Indian or have Indian blood in you to join. Our group is quite ethnically diverse and we encourage you to be proud of your ethnic back round.

 Everyone on the team has an outfit that they have made themselves. Many of the members are skilled at making specific parts of the outfits and are always willing to help you learn the crafts. Please notice that we call our dance clothes outfits and not costumes.

   To join the dance team there is a one-time registration fee of $10. We expect this money to come from your own pocket and not your parents. If you remain active and participate in the shows this fee will not be charged from year to year. We try to go to a powwow once a month. However most of the powwows are off the Island and are overnight events. As a result a collection is usually made before we leave for the trip to pay for gas, tolls and food. Over the course of the first year you will be expected to put together a presentable outfit. The price of materials varies from dance style to dance style and you are expected to pay for most of the raw materials.

  Most of the boy members come from Boy Scout troops and most of them become Eagle Scouts. However they do all of their rank advancement in their troops. If you are a registered member of a Boy Scout Troop then we ask that you do all of you rank advancement through your youth leaders and Scoutmaster. If you do not come from a Boy Scout troop we will gladly help you with all the requirements of advancement. Some of our members are working on their bronze awards. We consider the Crew above and beyond the normal Scouting experience.
